I need help on C++ with visual studios for a class?

im writing a program for class, i have a file saved on the computer named data1.txt, what i do is open the file in the program, then export the same exact content of data1.txt but into another file named data2.txt





but when i do this in the program, my teacher wants us to use a 'void' function with three parameters. two filestream parameters and a string parameter. (the string is because the data1.txt file has a name at the begining then a list of numbers. the string is just for the name)





im able to do this problem without using a void function. i have all the right code, but everytime i try to make it into a void function to operate out of that, it never compiles and the error message makes no sense and doesnt really tell me where my mistake is.





could someone just kinda briefly give an example of how the layout for this might look? im kinda a beginner at this
